Robinhood Markets, Inc. has agreed to acquire WonderFi Technologies Inc., a Canadian firm operating two regulated crypto trading platforms, Bitbuy and Coinsquare. The deal, valued at C$250 million, underscores Robinhood’s aggressive push into the crypto sector.
WonderFi’s platforms collectively custody over C$2.1 billion in assets, offering services like trading, staking, and custody. "WonderFi and Robinhood share a vision of making crypto accessible," said WonderFi CEO Dean Skurka. The acquisition aligns with Robinhood’s strategy to expand its crypto footprint.
